Founded in 1991, we offer two full floors for you to explore – and our ever-changing inventory means you’ll discover something new every time you visit. The bulk of our stock is Used, Rare & Out-of-Print Books. Be sure to check out our New Arrivals shelf near the counter! We also carry some New Books, along with a wide range of Gifts for Book Lovers.
Our two shop cats, Charlie & Cricket, are our most popular staffers. You’re likely to find them lounging in the shop windows. Our human staffers are also friendly – and better at making book/gift recommendations.

Metro Gallery Nebraska
Metro Gallery Nebraska hosts new exhibits every month with openings on First Fridays. The gallery installs exhibits in several locations around Lincoln, get the Metro Gallery Nebraska App for more details and to be notified of new exhibits.

The gallery has over 5000 works from dozens of countries and 2000 plus artists.
Metro Gallery Nebraska offers art cleaning and restoration. This work is performed by an artist trained at Moscow Surikov Academy of Fine Arts.
Every week the gallery hosts 'An Evening With An Artist". Artists and art lovers gather for art talks, demonstrations, art critiques and friendship. This starts at 5 every Wednesday evening. There are artists represented in numerous disciplines including music, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography, animation, clothing design, and more. The gallery stays open late for the evening and you can show up when you can get there.
Metro Gallery Nebraska has a printshop for artists.
The gallery offers collection and estate disposal and can find places to donate those unwanted works of art.
